The Full Story
Welcome to Kimberton Suds, I am so happy you found me.
I started making handmade soap in my tiny kitchen in Kimberton, PA. I started creating soap when I developed some minor health concerns and really started diving into what we put in and on our bodies. After making a variety of household items, soap has been, by far, my favorite household item to make! For a while I gave my product to family and friends and asked for thoughts and opinions, as I knew I wanted to share my product with all of you someday. Fast forward a couple years, I am confident in the products I offer you today.
Why Lard?
I chose lard as a base oil for multiple reasons. First and foremost, and I believe most importantly, when doing research, I learned that lard is the closest to human ph. levels. Secondly, I believe in locally sourcing items (if possible). Lastly, it is cost-effective, and I wanted to make my product affordable for all. It checked the boxes in everything I was looking for.
